New Programs

Columbia Christian Schools has been tasked with the goal of establishing better communication among donors, alumni and parents. The most widely suggested delivery system for pertinent information was a regularly updated website which one could easily navigate. A strong theme was for Columbia Christian Schools to utilize its campus to host youth functions, including summer programs, sports camps, and summer school. In the midst of these recommendations was the reoccurring theme of mentoring opportunities for young men and women. Scattered throughout the data were desires for implementing the following items: band program, school nurse, stronger alumni relations, continuing education opportunities for faculty, and a sign communicating the location of Columbia Christian Schools.

Class Suggestions

A strong voice throughout the data was a call for Columbia Christian Schools to partner with like institutions with available resources in providing elective opportunities for our students. These include shop, home economics, job shadowing, band, and orchestra. Embedded in this particular section were the concern for better communication with the alumni community and a strong recommendation for a mass advertising blitz utilizing newspapers, radio, and possibly television. Finally, there was a strong call for Columbia Christian Schools to raise the academic bar providing foreign language opportunities, debate teams, and AP courses.

Forward Progress

The Board and Administration will use the collected data to set out specific goals for the continued success and forward progress of the Academy.
