Half-Day Pre-KINDERGARTEN / PRESCHOOL
Columbia Christian's Pre-K program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment that allows children to gain an appreciation of their world and others around them through guided discovery as well as large- and small-group interactions. These experiences provide developmentally-appropriate activities where the child is an active participant in the learning process. We believe that young children learn best through intentional hands-on interactions and that students gain valuable skills through meaningful play. Our child-centered program encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving.
Our half-day Pre-K program provides an encouraging learning community for children from 3 to 5 years old. Children must be at least 36 months of age and fully potty-trained to enter our preschool program.
The class meets on weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 8:30am to 12:00pm. The school year typically runs from late August through the middle of June. In addition to core subjects like reading, math, writing, science, and social studies, our preschool students learn from the Bible and enjoy specialty classes like music, PE, and library instruction.
