The academic curriculum follows closely to that of the Oregon public school system, with state approved textbooks being taught from a Christian perspective. Major emphasis in our full day kindergarten is first grade readiness. Grades 1-3 emphasize reading, math, spelling, language, and writing. In grades 4-6 the academic curriculum consists of social studies, english, spelling, science, reading, and math. Music, physical education, reading skills, and library skills are all taught by specialists in those areas. Daily devotionals and Bible classes are an essential part of the educational experience.
The academic day begins at 8:00 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. Our school year runs from the Wednesday after the Labor Day holiday until the second Friday in June.
