  1. Yearbook - Students learn how to produce the school yearbook. Each student is assigned a section of the yearbook and must write, copy, select pictures, and design pages. Making decisions, selling ads, being responsible, and working cooperatively with others are important character traits for this course.
  2. Student Council - Each class within the junior high and high school selects a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and chaplain to represent the class. The student body as a whole selects student body officers to include a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and religious activities coordinators to represent the student body. These students serve and assist their classes and fellow students and represent to the administration.
  3. Key Club - This is a student based club that works with and through the Montevilla Kiwanis Service Club. They volunteer in service projects and look to help others inside and outside the school.
  4. Chess Club - A time after school, located on campus, is provided for students to be involved and active in learning and participating in the skill of chess. The club is for any age of student.
  5. Outdoor School Field Leader Assistants - Outdoor School is a residential program for all sixth graders. Presently our own sixth grade students attend the Outdoor School program run by Camp Yamhill (Camp Yamhill Christian Outdoor School). This is a creation based Outdoor School program where the students learn about water, soil, animals and plants from both the viewpoint of purpose with design from God. These Field Leader Assistants are usually 11 th and 12 th grade students who learn to:
    • Work with children
    • Communicate with sixth graders, classroom teachers, Outdoor School personnel, and peers.
    • Assist in the learning process involving nature, table manners, conduct and cabin organization. Students grow in character by exhibiting enthusiasm, demonstrating maturity, accepting responsibility, learning to be flexible, showing initiative, and exercising leadership
