New Teachers for Spring 2010

CCS Families,

We would like to officially announce that Ms. DiAnn Gillaspie has decided to conclude her work with Columbia Christian Schools at the end of this semester.  Ms. Gillaspie has worked at CCS since 1995 and her contributions to the school over the years are greatly appreciated. DiAnn’s final day with us will be January 22nd and we wish her the very best in her new endeavors.

We are happy to report that a replacement for teaching Ms. Gillaspie’s subjects has already been hired.  Ms. Debi Riley is a graduate of CCS and comes to us with over 20 years of teaching experience.  Ms. Riley is excited to be back at Columbia and is enthusiastic about the classes she will be taking over from Ms. Gillaspie.  We expect that the transition will go smoothly and we can’t help but see how God is working in this area of change.

Please join us in thanking DiAnn for her work at CCS and in welcoming Debi back to our school.

We will also have an adjustment in our Spanish classes during second semester. We greatly appreciate that Ken Hines joined CCS for the first semester of this school year as our adjunct Spanish instructor.  We were aware that Mr. Hines would only be teaching here for half of the year, and we are happy to share that his successor is in place for the second semester. We are pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Amy Hines as our new Spanish teacher. Ms. Hines is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and has spent time with her family living in a Spanish-speaking mission field.  We are excited to have Ms. Hines here at CCS.  Please join us in thanking Ken for his work and in welcoming Amy.
