The pre-kindergarten is a class for students who are either too young for kindergarten or who are kindergarten age but would benefit from an extra year of development prior to entering kindergarten. The pre-kindergarten curriculum includes, Art, Bible, Language Arts, Library Skills, Mathematics, Music/Drama, Physical Education and Social Studies. This curriculum involves many activities and crafts appropriate to the age level and occasional field trips. All core subjects are taught by the primary teachers, while Art, Music/Drama, Physical Education, and Library Skills are all taught by specialists in those areas. Daily devotionals and Bible classes are an essential part of the educational experience. Junior kindergarten teachers teach all subjects from a Christian perspective. The schedule for junior kindergarten also includes daily mandatory rest time after lunch recess.
The school day begins at 8:00 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. Our school year runs from the Wednesday after the Labor Day holiday until the second Friday in June.
