Columbia Christian Schools seeks to provide a Christ-centered education focused on excellence in faith, character and academics.

Columbia Christian Schools has been dually accredited since the spring of 2000 for Kindergarten through 12th grade by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (a division of AdvancED) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  Our Early Childhood Education program is licensed by the Oregon Childcare Division.

Columbia Christian Schools is a non-profit governed primarily by the Word of God, as understood and applied by the school’s Board of Trustees and administration. The Board of Trustees operates under the school’s adopted bylaws, mission statements, objectives and faith statement, and it provides policies to the president and principal for implementation in the school. 

In 1947 the school opened with just four teachers and 36 students.

  • Achievement Testing
    Columbia Christian includesTerraNova3 as an annual standardized test, with many grades scoring well above the national average.
  • Advanced Placement
    Since 2013, three Columbia Christian students have scored a perfect 5, and all Columbia students who've taken the exam have received scores that earn college credit.
  • SAT Perfect Score
    In 2013, a Columbia Christian student scored a perfect 800 on the mathematics section of the SAT.
  • Project Citizen
    Seniors at Columbia Christian Schools have won the state competition every year they've competed year since 2011, and have been recognized by numerous organization such as the Montavilla Neighborhood Association, the Portland Police Bureau, and the City of Portland.


  • Columbia Christian Schools is a 2016 recipient of the School Choice Leadership Award.
