Columbia Christian Schools
New Development Director Announced

July 2017

Columbia Christian is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason Housley as Development Director.

Mr. Housley has served Columbia since 2012 in multiple roles. His primary focus has been athletics, serving as the school Athletic Director from 2012 to 2017. He has also filled roles as a head coach in several sports and as a high school English Language Arts teacher. As well as overseeing the athletic department, Jason has spent significant time raising funds for both the athletic program in general and for individual sports teams. He has worked tirelessly to serve the school and its students, and he is excited to transfer that same passion to fundraising and alumni work in the development department. Prior to his time at Columbia, Jason worked for the Oregonian as a sales associate and in a managerial role and at Liberty Mutual as a licensed agent. During his years at Liberty Mutual, Jason met and exceeded sales expectations yearly and received several honors and awards, including ranking in the top 10% of a fortune 100 company, qualifying for Liberty Legends, receiving the sales representative of the quarter award, and garnering recognition as the top sales representative for the year in one of his focus areas. Jason brings with him a love for Columbia Christian and a drive to see the school succeed.

“I am excited to start this new chapter in my life,” Jason remarked about his new development position, and “I look forward to seeing God’s plan come to life!” We are excited to have Jason fill this new role at Columbia. Jason will continue serving as Athletic Director through the end of August, overlapping for one month with new Athletic Director, Bart Valentine; he will officially begin as Development Director on September 1, 2017. Jason and his wife, Amanda, have three children attending Columbia Christian Schools.
